Jordy Nelson's Buzz

Jordy Nelson has the Midwestern good guy charm and matching blond hair, blue eyed looks.  But what about that buzz cut?

It's definitely practical for sweeping the Green Bay Packers helmet off and on, but c'mon.  I think Jordy could stand for a new style sometime in the next couple Packers seasons.  I've found a few options below.

No radical changes here.  Just a little length to the top, spiking it up for some height, and maintaining the short buzzed sides that Jordy Nelson seems to favor.

What do you think about these choices?  Should he go all out and grow it long instead?

AJ Hawk's Hair Donation

Up until this season, AJ Hawk's hair has been the most eye catching thing about his style.  The long hair was in memory of the late NFL player Pat Tillman, a U.S. Army member who gave the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan back in 2005.  Many people thought this was a great way to honor Pat Tillman and make his presence a reminder on and off-field in the ensuing years.

But in spring 2012, AJ Hawk went ahead and got his hair cut.  Again, his locks represented a worthy cause.  He donated his hair to the charity Wigs for Kids.  This program makes hair pieces for kids recovering from chemotherapy.

Here's AJ Hawk in his short haired look these days:

His hair plans may be done for now, but they've showed much about his character over the years.

Jamari Lattimore's Cool 'Do

Jamari Lattimore has some of the best hair not just among Green Bay Packers players, but in the entire NFL.  Agree?
The picture above is a little old so here's another for ya:

The thing I love best about Jamari Lattimore's full head of hair is that it is a little unregulated.  You can see he doesn't keep every piece in exact place.  I'm wondering, though, what this means about helmet size.  That's a lot of hair to get crammed under the trademark green and gold!

Anthony Levine: Long or short hair?

Hi Green Bay Packers fans!  It's time for another hair poll.  I present to you safety Anthony Levine, a player who thus far has been on the practice squad, but could perhaps break into some onfield playing time this season.  We'll see.

Anyway, on to the hair.

Option 1:

Here we have a long, shoulder-length style.  Adds personality and intrigue.  I think he pulls it off well.  This was from his college days so perhaps for Anthony Levine this is a young look.

Option 2:

This is the buzzed version.  Grown-up, more professional, even less facial hair, too.  And there's a smile.  Does that mean he's happier with less hair maintenance?

My vote is first the first option.  I think it looks pretty sweet.  How about, hotforthepack readers?  Which option would you say is the better fit for Anthony Levine?

Marc Tyler's Hair Options

Marc Tyler is a newbie to Wisconin's cold climate and quiet cities which are half a country and light years from his college years in California.  I'm not sure if this will inform his hair decisions for the upcoming season, but if he's looking for a bit more head warmth, he can find it with this 'do:

Marc Tyler Option 1
This is his more recent style--a little longer and curlier than his high school years.  Here he is back then with a close-cropped look:

Marc Tyler Option 2
I prefer the shorter look on Marc Tyler.  More professional and grown-up....perfect for his start in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers.  What are your thoughts: Does Marc Tyler look better with the long hair of option 1 or the short buzz of option 2?

Tim Masthay: Long or short hair?

Tim Masthay of the Green Bay Packers has tries a long and short 'do over the past few years.  Of course, the long hair dates back to his high school days.  Here it be:

Carrot top!
I think every guy went through a similar long haired stage in their formative years.

Today, though, I'm glad to say that Tim Masthay has changed his style.  The only thing that's long now are those monster sideburns.

Giving Joe Mauer a run for his money!
I think this is one of the best style decision Tim Masthay could have made.  Short hair is the way to go.  Don't you agree, Troy?

Morgan Burnett's Amazing Hair

Morgan Burnett Hair
Morgan Burnett's hair is rad. This new Green Bay Packers recruit out of Georgia Tech boasts a carefully crafted shoulder-length 'do that looks healthy and rich. I'm in love! Now, he isn't alone in having such lovely locks. Here are some other long-haired NFL stars from the past.

HairBeautiful!

I mean, handsome! Edgy! Masculine!

Keep in mind, though, that Morgan Burnett doesn't even need his hair to get him noticed coming into the Green Bay Packers 2010 season. As a Georgia Tech player, he started 28 of 40 games. During his senior year, he was one of three captains and earned a spot on the All-Atlantic Coast Conference second-team. After graduating with a management major in spring 2010, Morgan Burnett was quickly snapped up by the Green Bay Packers and has a chance to start with a bang this season.

Morgan Burnett HeadshotCan't wait to see him and his fine hair on the field!

Nick Barnett Hair Poll: Short or Long?

Tell me your thoughts about this Green Bay Packers linebacker. Short or long hair?!

Donald Driver versus Donald Lee

We've got two talented Donalds here on the Green Bay Packers roster. We've got two bald Donalds at that. Between Donald Lee (top photo) and Donald Driver (bottom) which player looks better bald?

Atari Bigby's Rasta Life

How sweet is it that one of our very own Green Bay Packers football players is a true rastafarian? (Check out what a rastafrain is here.) If you weren't aware, Atari Bigby has followed this worldview since his childhood. In fact, he refused admission to a Florida university because they would make him cut his beloved dreadlocks, which are important to his rasta beliefs. I actually like the look and its interesting that his hair has such an important place in his heart and faith.

Aaron Rouse's Hair Style

Which Aaron Rouse look do you prefer: short and sweet or mini-dreads? (The picture size has nothing to do with my opinion! The Green Bay Packers like to keep their photos tiny, I guess.)

Aaron Rodgers Stylin' Hair

Ok. We need to talk about Aaron Rodgers' hair.

My feelings are quite conflicted. This Green Bay Packers quarterback used to sport a mullet-esque style that can look either sultry or terribly outdated. In recent years he's cut it short, but I really hated that look. Check out his Green Bay Packers official bio to see what I mean. The bangs are better suited for a 4 year old girl. I'm just saying.

Should be bring the mullet back? (Cue Justin Timberlake sexyback music here.) I'm a product of my generation, which saw some hot long hair action in the likes of Scott Stapp from Creed...

...and Taylor Kitsch from Varsity Blues.

So I like long hair in that respect. But then again, Aaron Rodgers' is pushed back from his face and looks like a headband is fastening it back. It just might not be right for him.

How much does an NFL player care about their hair? I think a few guys get really into it and must chafe under the restriction of their helmets. Short hair might be more practical after all. Maybe Lambeau Field needs a hair consultant off the locker room to provide quick touch-ups before press interviews. I'm up for the job!
