Ryan Pickett Ten Year Anniversary

Well, it was ten years ago in April that Ryan Pickett was selected by the St Louis Rams in the 1st round of the NFL Draft with the 29th pick. In honor of this, I'm going to honor him with ten of my favorite things about Ryan Pickett

1. the "Ett" at the end of his last name. Sounds like pick it off like an interception, without it, this is a terrible last name.

2. His butt. For obvious reasons.

3. The way his eyes mesh with the Green Bay Packer helmet.

4. His size.

5. How hard he tries.

6. That he is a Super Bowl Champion

7. That he is a pro bowler.

8. That he loves Lambeau Field.

9. His hair.

10. That he is a Green Bay Packer

Ryan Pickett will crush you

If you're looking for the heaviest, beefiest, thickest dude on the Green Bay Packers team, look no further than number 79, Ryaaaaaaan Piiiiiiiiiiiiiickett!

Ryan Pickett"Wheeeeee!"

Though the guy stands at 6'2" (definitely not the tallest on the team) he outweighs all his fellow teammates, including B.J. Raji by 3 pounds. At a hefty THREE HUNDRED AND FORTY POUNDS, Ryan Pickett is a whopping 149 pounds heavier than his lightest green and gold teammates, Brandon Underwood and Tramon Williams who are tied at 191 lbs apiece.

Well, I calculated Ryan Pickett's weight in a BMI program and the news ain't good. According to that device, Ryan Pickett's BMI is 43.6. Obesity is labeled anything over 30. Yipes.

However, those BMI calculations are pretty lame imo. They don't calculate build, muscle mass, or anything at all. Ryan Pickett is huge but in shape. He could outdistance most of us in the 40, don't you think?

Ryan Pickett(Even if you don't believe it, just keep quiet. This guy has a smile on his face, but if he's mad he'll block out the sun. And we don't want that. That whole the-sun-is-needed-for-life-on-earth thing is pretty important.)

Ryan Pickett

Ryan Pickett has been in the NFL since he was selected by the St. Louis Rams off his Ohio State University football team in the 2001 Draft. Pickett’s family always knew he would go on to do great things ever since high school when he was consensus All-American selection and named one of the top 25 players in the country by the National Recruiting Advisor, among other achievements. At Ohio State, Picket was a three year starter and a standout player. He also never missed a game and was named All-Big Ten honorable mention. Ryan Pickett decided to skip his senior year to join the St. Louis Rams NFL team where he really shined. After becoming a free agent in 2006, Ryan Pickett was picked up by the Green Bay Packers who gave him a four year contract. Pickett has played the Nose Tackle position since 2009. In 2010, the Green Bay Packers signed Pickett to a three year deal.

Ryan Pickett's Tackle

I feel a kinship with other loyal Green Bay Packers fans who (like me!) spend their free time photoshopping Green Bay Packers photos into ridiculous situations. I present Exhibit A--a picture that made me laugh--nay, chortle!--aloud when I saw this image of nose tackle Ryan Picket:

I hope this Ryan Pickett photo made your day. Thanks to whomever took the crazy amount of time to make it. I love seeing Green Bay Packers fans' cyber work. Keep it up.
