A.J. Hawk is here to stay

A.J. Hawk has been with the Packers since he was picked in the 2006 NFL Draft right out of Ohio State. As a linebacker for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team, Hawk was awarded the prestigious Lombardi Award as the best college football linebacker in the nation. A.J. Hawk was a hot commodity for the NFL recruiters after winning the award, but the Green Bay Packers finally persuaded him to their team with a six-year contract.

The Packer coaches were pleasantly surprised with Hawk’s phenomenal performance from the beginning and he has been going strong ever since. With achievements, such as 3^rd place for Defensive Rookie of the Year, Hawk is not done yet. Watch for A.J. Hawk at the next Green Bay Packers game, because he is sure to impress.

Charles Woodson

Charles Woodson is Cornerback for the Green Bay Packers. Over his football career, Woodson has been apart of greatness and has proven to be an outstanding player. Charles Woodson had the privilege of being a University of Michigan Wolverine, whom he led to the 1997 National Championships. Woodson also has the title of the only player in the history of the NCAA D-1 football to win the Heisman Trophy as a defensive player.

Upon graduation from Michigan, Charles Woodson was snatched up by the Oakland Raiders in the 1998 NFL Draft. He immediately proved to the Raiders, that they had made a great decision, by being selected as the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year by the Associated Press and earning All-Pro recognition three consecutive times. Unfortunately, Woodson would be sidelines with numerous injuries which forced him to depart from Oakland after the 2005 NFL season and become a free agent.

A year later, Charles Woodson would be picked up by the Green Bay Packers with who offered a seven-year, $52 million contract. As a thank you to the Packers, Woodson led the National Football Conference with eight interceptions and earned the title of AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2010. Woodson has a big heart and enjoys contributing back to the community, so in 2009 he contributed $2 million to his alma mater’s children’s hospital for pediatric research.
