Brandon Jackson signed a contract with the Cleveland Browns. It looks like it is time for us to take the time to remember Brandon and all his glory. Here is a list of Brandon's biggest accomplishments during his time as a Green Bay Packer.

1. Was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2007 draft.

2. Named rookie of the week on December 31st, 2007 for rushing for 113 yards on 20 carries.

3. Named a starter in 2010 after Ryan Grant's season was lost due to injury.

4. Won the Super Bowl with the Packers in 2011!!!!!

Green Bay Packers running back, Brandon Jackson, got his college start at Nebraska where he played a career total of 33 games with 11 starts. He averaged 92.8 yards per game as a starter and caught 34 passes for 318........

Second, Brandon Jackson decided to major in sociology. Here's a quick program overview straight from Nebraska's sociology department:
The department of sociology offers B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees. The department has 20 faculty members, about 40 graduate students, and around 200 undergraduate majors. Currently, all of our graduate students are funded through Graduate Teaching, Research Assistantships, or by Scholarships. As a moderately small department, we have chosen to capitalize on our strengths by emphasizing specializations and research in the areas of family, social inequality, and the sociology of health/mental health. Faculty and students in each of these areas, along with other sociological topics, participate in regular department colloquiums to present ongoing research, discuss teaching issues, and listen to invited speakers. Also, Brandon Jackson was a member of the 2006 Brook Berringer Citizenship Team, a football program honoring current members of the squad who have a 2.5 or higher GPA, have 8 service activities under their belt, and have stayed trouble free off the field.

Brandon Jackson, a running back for the Packers, has been with the team since the 2007 NFL Draft. Before the NFL was even on the horizon, Brandon Jackson was a two-time Class 5A state offensive player of the year at his Horn Lake High School. Jackson was also named to the top 12 player list in the state of Mississippi.

Following his high school career, Brandon Jackson went on to play college football at Nebraska. At Nebraska, Jackson started the majority of the games and made a huge impression on his fans, teammates and coaches alike. This talent on the football field brought Jackson into his professional career with the Green Bay Packers in 2007.

With the Packers, Brandon Jackson scored his first NFL touchdown only three weeks in against the San Diego Chargers. Jackson also topped the 100 yard mark for the first time in his career shortly after. Jackson made such an impression, that he was voted the NFL Rookie of the Week. Give me a "B" for Brandon Jackson!

So it's been years since I donned a cheerleading outfit for high school football games, but I can't help but think about slipping into the old routines and chants when I write about the Green Bay Packers. I'll cheer for Green Bay Packers running back Brandon Johnson any day.


This guy is a quiet but reliable force on Lambeau Field and is making a big name for himself even after just a couple years on the team. I have a soft spot in my heart for Brandon Jackson, too, since his dad passed away when Brandon was just 10. And that was after his dad was paralyzed for four previous years due to a car accident. Brandon Jackson had to overcome that big hurdle but it seems he's found his way.

If I cheered for a "B", then that would cover his whole family. Brandon is married to Brandy Bolden and they have two children--Brandon and Braylyn. Let's not look too closely at the math here (Brandon Junior is 6 and Brandon Sr. is just 23), and the family lives in Horn Lake, Mississippi.
